French Console/Trestle Table from the Early 20th Century

This French work table, called “table de lavandière” in French is from the early part of the 20th century. The single plank top sits on a simple trestle base made of four splayed legs connected to one another with a cross stretcher. This table was perfect for gardening – such as assembling bundles of lavender –Today however it could be used for a wide variety of functions –Against a wall as a console table showcasing a variety of accessories, in the middle of a room with flowers, in an entrance holding hats and keys, the possibilities are endless.
Please note that the table has a uneven top with many imperfections and time worn cracks just how we like it
