The French 19thC Monumental eight legged Drapers table which is over 13ft long was originally used in a draper’s atelier in Lyon, France.
The abundant surface area facilitated unfurling and cutting long swaths of fabric. The lower level shelf was used for storing additional bolts and fabrics in the cloth merchant’s shop.
By modern standards the beautiful combination of pine creates a rich and warm patina, ideal for a welcoming kitchen island or an elegant console table. Circa 1870
